Outreach East Mourns the Loss of Dedicated Volunteer, Thomas Schiestel
Outreach East extends its deepest condolences to the family of Thomas Michael Schiestel, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the age of 81. Tom was a truly treasured part of our family, dedicating over 30 years of service to both Outreach East and Andy’s Attic. Born in Flint, MI, and a devoted husband to his wife of 60 years, Nancy, often volunteered right alongside him, Tom exemplified selfless commitment. His greatest gift was his ability to make everyone he encountered feel seen and valued, always ready with a smile, a helping hand, and a heartfelt conversation. After retiring from AC in Flint in 1995, his strong work ethic and easygoing nature transitioned into his extensive volunteer work, where he found great joy in helping others. Tom’s kindness and spirit will be profoundly missed by all of us and the many lives he touched in the community.
