Honor reflects the military value and tradition of answering the call to duty. There is distinct honor in serving to protect our way of life and the Constitution of the United States of America. \nNational Veterans Day Ceremony \n\nThe Veterans Day National Ceremony is held each year on November 11th at Arlington National Cemetery. The ceremony commences precisely at 11:00 a.m. with a wreath laying at the Tomb of the Unknowns and continues inside the Memorial Amphitheater with a parade of colors by Veterans’ organizations and remarks from dignitaries. DESCRIPTION:What is Giving Tuesday?\nGiving Tuesday 2025 is on Tuesday\, December 1st\, and is a Global Day of Generosity that encourages people to give back to their communities. It follows the major shopping days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday and serves as an opportunity to donate time\, talent\, or treasure to support charitable causes. \nHow can I participate ? \n\n  Simply click on the DONATE NOW button and it will take you to our donation page. Choose one time or monthly and the amount. It’s that easy! \n\n  \n\nDate: The Tuesday after Thanksgiving in the United States\, which will be December 1\, 2026.\nPurpose: To inspire acts of generosity and community support after a weekend of shopping.\nHow to participate: People can give back through monetary donations\, volunteering their time\, sharing their skills\, or other acts of kindness.\nGlobal movement: It is a global event that brings people together to support a wide range of causes\, from local charities to large non-profits\n\nFor over 35 years\, Outreach East has served as a critical lifeline—a constant\, non-denominational emergency resource center dedicated to assisting neighbors in need across Goodrich\, Davison\, Otisville\, and the expanding 225 square miles of eastern Genesee County. We are built on the belief that no one in our community should face hunger or housing instability alone. \nYet\, the need in our area remains staggering. Even as the economy shifts\, too many families are one unexpected bill away from crisis. Consider this: in a recent year\, over 70\,000 people in Genesee County lived in poverty\, and the food insecurity rate has been estimated at over 15%. This is not an abstract problem; it’s our children and our seniors. Right here in the Davison school district\, nearly half (49%) of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunches. These are the families who turn to us when their cupboards are bare and hope is running thin. \nWe’re hosting our campaign right here on Give Butter (a secure platform). Every dollar you donate on this critical day will be matched by a 1% match from the platform\, multiplying the hope you can provide.
