Outreach East is deeply saddened by the passing of our longtime volunteer, Deena Sue Johnson, who passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, at the age of 66. Deena gave countless hours of her time to helping others and was a familiar, caring presence at Outreach East for many years. She ran our clothing room, assisting individuals and families with their clothing needs and always treating each person with kindness, dignity, and compassion.
Deena had a true heart for service, and her willingness to help others made a lasting difference in our organization and in the lives of so many people in our community. We are grateful for the years she shared with Outreach East and for the friendship, generosity, and kindness she brought through our doors. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with her sons, grandson, family, and friends. Deena will be greatly missed, but the kindness she gave so freely will remain part of Outreach East for years to come.
